    Education Sponsorships

In the past the illiteracy rate within the immediate Jibajibe community was more than 85%, and in the majority of the greater Rasuwa District an astounding 100%. HHCP Nepal is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in this vast district spanning 1,544sq km and the team believethis will be achieved at the grassroots level by educating the children.

The HHCP Nepal school education sponsorship programme began in 2010 with local Nepali Committees being formed in various positions around the District so their local knowledge may best help to select the neediest children to participate in this program. Harikrishna is the overseer and President of all these Committees.

The annual fee for a child’s education sponsorship is $US210/$AUD320 or $US18/month or $AUD27/month.

Donors will receive an initial profile of their sponsor child and then a bi-annual or annual photo/info update as they become available.

Your sponsored child will receive all school supplies, ongoing uniforms, education supplies, tuition fees, and family care. If the family is in need of food or medical help HHCP Nepal also pays for these expenses.

Your sponsorship will support the entire family, and most often when a child is given a sponsorship, that education then ensures the families future care with that education. The children always look after their family, with the family being first priority once they are educated.

The education sponsorship programme currently has over 120 sponsored children that are now attending school with some of these children happily trekking between 5-6 hours daily for the opportunity.

There is a waiting list of many more vulnerable children seeking sponsors, please consider sponsoring a child today.

    Educational Gift

Many children are attending school in the Rasuwa District, although the threat of them possibly leaving is real, as their families live hand to mouth with extremely little sustainable income.

They are struggling to afford to send their children to school.

HHCP Nepal are very keen to keep children in school so they came up with the initiative of a one of donation of $US65/$AUD100 for a child to be outfitted in a school uniform and educational supplies given to the child ongoing for a year.

A waiting list has been formed of the most needy children.

Please consider making a one-off donation to one of these needy rural children of the Rasuwa District.
