HHCP Nepal is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for these remote rural communities.
Many of these remote, rural Himalayan people have skills to make beautiful handcrafted local products.
They make hand-woven mats from maize stalks and corn hulls, ropes from succulents, hand-woven Tibetan products from the incredible tapestry of colours typical to the Tibetan “panga” or shawls, and many more …….
We are also planning on training the women in the empowered women’s programmes to make soap.
In offering some of these products for sale, it will further generate a form of income for these people. Your purchase dollars will be given straight to the item producer, no middle man, no fees!!!
Unfortunately, there is only one post office in Nepal and that is very challenging to use. Courier is also extrememly expensive. So our method of getting products to the purchaser will be via travellers to Nepal that are aligned with the charity, HHCP Nepal. On completion of their Nepal visit they will return to their home country with the products.
